Man Killed by Salt Truck in Lawrenceburg

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — Officials say a Tennessee Department of Transportation salt truck has hit and killed a pedestrian in Middle Tennessee.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol told media the accident was reported early Thursday in Lawrence County. They said a man in his 40s died, but they did not release his identity.

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene investigating.
