MTSU’s sororities and fraternities battled it out Saturday night during the annual Fight Song Competition in the Murphy Center.

As a part of this year’s “Anchored in Tradition” themed Week of Welcome events, six teams of fraternities and sororities competed in the Fight Song Competition: Team One, Kappa Delta and Phi Mu Alpha; Team Two, Alpha Chi Omega and Sigma Chi; Team Three, Alpha Omicron Pi, Kappa Sigma and Alpha Phi Alpha; Team Four, Alpha Delta Pi; Team Five, Chi Omega and Sigma Pi; and Team Six, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Kappa Tau, Alpha Gamma Rho and Phi Beta Sigma.

After each group performed their own sea-themed renditions of MTSU’s Fight Song, judges awarded Kappa Delta and Phi Mu Alpha with third place, Chi Omega and Sigma Pi with second and Alpha Omicron Pi, Kappa Sigma and Alpha Phi Alpha with the coveted first place.
