Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting on Dudley Street at approximately 3:02 p.m. on Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness. The witness stated to police that he found two shell casings in front of his address on Sunday afternoon. The witness also said that, at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, he heard two loud bangs come from the street. When he looked out of his window at that time, he saw a dark-colored truck leave the area. Police then interviewed a few more residents on the street. The other residents stated to police that they also heard two to three gunshots Sunday morning. Police then collected the shell casings and logged them into evidence.
