An armed robbery at the Ellington Human Sciences parking lot was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday night.

The suspect was described as a younger black male, was said to be wearing a red and white striped shirt, and was carrying a knife.

He was said to have been accompanied by four to five other black males.

A timely alert was sent throughout campus, advising students to “leave that area immediately and stay away,” and to “report suspicious activity to MTSU Police.”

An “all clear” message was not sent out until approximately seven the following morning, stating that the suspect in question had not been apprehended but that it was safe to resume normal activity.

Police have no further leads at this time.
