MTSU offers the best value education above all of Tennessee’s public universities, according to BestValueSchools.com.

The website evaluated 20 higher education institutions in the state and ranked their value based on 20-year net return on investment, net price and graduation and acceptance rates. MTSU came in second overall following Vanderbilt University.

MTSU was specifically recognized for expanding from a teacher college to a large-scale university with a wide range of majors, and its innovative specialized programs including Recording Industry, Aerospace, Concrete Industry Management and Human Sciences.

“These departments represent MTSU’s commitment to student success after graduation by preparing them for promising careers in vital, local industries,” said Iris Stone, the writer who assessed the universities.

This list sought out to identify Tennessee’s best higher education options and help students find which Tennessee schools offer the most bang for their buck.
