Murfreesboro Police responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar General on West Northfield Boulevard on Tuesday at approximately 10:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, police made contact with the store clerk. The clerk explained to police that two men entered the store and started yelling, “Open the cash drawer.”

The suspects continued to yell until the clerk opened the drawer. The suspects grabbed the cash out of the drawer and placed it in a cloth bag. Once the suspects collected all of the money, they ran out of the front door. A customer, who was in the store at the time of the robbery, stated to the officers that she saw one of the suspects concealing a gun.

At the time of the investigation, it could not be determined how much money was stolen. No injuries were sustained during the robbery. Once the officers finished interviewing witnesses, detectives took over the investigation.
