Local night club Tempt, a frequent spot for MTSU students, celebrated its third birthday Saturday night with loud music, free food and tons of party-goers.

Tempt is located on the square in downtown Murfreesboro. With many shows averaging at $5 admission and performances by popular hip-hop, EDM and pop artists, the venue is a huge hit with college students and the rest of the community.

The birthday bash was packed with hip-hop and EDM music, featuring performances from KDSML, Beat Bear, Saffel, Mr. 110, Leonitius, Kid Ayrab, Dorian Williams and Souljunk.

People from all ages and backgrounds drifted in to drink, dance and celebrate the birthday of the popular nightclub.

Kaitie Broyles, co-manager of the nightclub, said that after all this time, she continues to truly love her work. She loves seeing artists travel from all over the country to play in the middle of Tennessee, her favorite artists yet being the Ying-Yang Twins.

Broyles said that they have really enjoyed their time on the square and look forward to what’s to come.

“There’s not one bar on the square that’s the same,” Broyles explained. “We want to see the square grow. It’s not about the money. I just want to see people coming in and enjoying themselves.”

Josh Qualls, the other co-manager, was very pleased with the massive turnout.

“A lot of friends came out who we haven’t seen in a long time,” Qualls said. “All in all, it was a really nice night.”
