Story and video by Sydney Wagner / Contributing Writer

Each spring, in preparation of MTSU’s Textiles, Merchandising and Design program’s annual fashion show, the university’s Fashion Promotion class dedicates the entire first half of the semester to planning the execution of the show, start to finish. This year’s theme is “Starry Night: An Evening of Art and Glamour” and includes the categories of Pop Art, Impressionism and Rococo. A panel of judges looks at every garment from each category and prejudges them before the show, except for the senior collections, which will be judged live at the fashion show. Don’t miss the show this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Miller Education Center. You can purchase tickets here
