The MTSU Panhellenic Council hosted their annual Easter egg hunt for Murfreesboro children and families Sunday on MTSU President Sidney McPhee’s lawn. Over 300 local children gathered on the lawn to hunt eggs and enjoy the Easter season.
“This event is kind of rewarding for us because we get to help out and see the community enjoy themselves,” said Gerard McQueen, an MTSU senior and Phi Delta Theta fraternity member.
Phi Delta Theta and other Greek organization members dressed up in bunny costumes, handed out candy and set up games around the lawn.
“I’m actually from Murfreesboro and have never seen this event before, but it is actually turning out very well,” said Gracen Sanders, an MTSU freshman and Alpha Delta Pi sorority member. “There’s a lot of people here.”
